The Dutton Beach House: Dining Room Coastal Cowgirl Decor Tips

Alright Coastal Cowgirls, we have our dream Dutton kitchen design, but what's a kitchen without a place to enjoy that homemade meal? When you come from the Dutton family, sharing a meal is more than just a meal, it's an experience and the interior design of the dining rom can bring that to the next level. In this final installment of the Dutton Beach House Series, we'll explore the dining room and how to create a space that brings a little bit of the wild west to the coast.

Creating a space just for Beth is no easy feat; we're as inspired by her grit on the ranch as we are by her savviness in the board room. This first dining room takes both and merges them into a beachy western vibe - sophisticated and refined yet rustic and rough around the edges - a fine example of the coastal cowgirl trend.

Warm whites and rustic woods are the base of this modern western beachy look. Wood furniture on a lush beige and white area rug mirrors the wood beams, creating balance in the space. We particularly love the subtle connection between the texture on the chairs and light fixture and the gentle texture in the wallcovering along the kitchen wall - it's subtly alluding to that grit that we love so much!

This next space brings all the wild of the west through it's eclectic interior design. The leopard print cushions are a decor trend we think Beth Dutton of all people would love to see go viral, it's the perfect subtle detail that pulls it all together.

Now, while we love the primarily western look, part of what we're excited about by bringing Beth to the beach is the idea of getting her more in tune with the ocean waves. The next dining rooms create a coastal cowgirl aesthetic that have a touch of those cowboy boot vibes.

This first dining space features gorgeous white shiplap walls and rattan style window treatments - together these can bring a a perfect balance of texture to your space. The light fixture, dining table, and dining chairs are all in neutral tones and light and airy in design, but with a touch of that lived-in feel. Bonus space: the window bench and throw pillows offer the most perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the tide roll in.

This next one has the perfect coastal base palette - a collection of soft whites that frame ocean views.
